About Barbiturates:

A Barbiturate is a type of medication which is used as a central nervous system depressant,it is primarily used as a hypnotic since it can cause relaxation and sleepiness. There are many people that use it for the treatment of a seizure disorder or pain syndromes. There are three main types of barbiturates and most of them are capsules that contain powder on the inside and can be found in different colors but usually red or white. One type is ultra short-acting, like Brevital or Surital. Another type of barbiturates is intermediate acting, like Nembutal or Seconal. The last type is long-acting, like Luminal or Mebaral. Now due to dangers they present, such as overdose, they have largely been replaced with benzodiazepines today.

Benzodiazepines are a family of prescription tranquilizers. Most of people know these drugs as Valium,Xanax and Prosom. There is a large variety of benzodiazepine pills available to doctors for prescription. Benzodiazepine is commonly used as minor sedatives or tranquilizers,and it is prescribed mainly for anxiety and sleeping problems. In addition,Benzodiazepines are highly addictive and are commonly abused,it can be long acting or short acting for your mental or physical function.
