First of all, thanks for asking this question,I work it out and give you a simple answer.A white, oblong pill with L612 imprinted is Loratadine, Brand name is Alavert (Claritin is no longer use for prescribing). This medication is an antihistamine that treats symptoms such as itching, runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing from "hay fever". It is also used to relieve itching from hives and also used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies (an antihistamine). Here I think it is for your reference and maybe not a correct answer or sometimes there are a variety of answers for the same question. So here are more information as below and it could be helpful.

About Loratadine:

Loratadine is an antihistamine and blocks a substance in the body called histamine. This helps to decrease allergy symptoms. Side effects of loratadine include headache, fatigue, dry mouth, thirst, dry nose or hoarseness may occur. Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible: allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips.

Can loratadine get you high?

Loratidine is a drug that acts as an anti-histamine. simply, it is for the treatment of allergy. Loratadine overdose symptoms may include headache, drowsiness, and fast or pounding heartbeat. Generally, i do not think you can get high on an overdose of loratidine.

What is the maximum dosage of Claritin I can take safely?

The recommended dose of loratadine for most human adults and children age six and over is 10 mg once daily. Only a veterinarian will be able to tell you if it is safe for a kitten. However, take Claritin as directed on the label, or as your doctor has prescribed. Do not take the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. The instructions state that you should only take Claritin once per day.
