Thanks you to ask this question, here is a simple answer for you.Not Medical Advice: Fentanyl is stronger than Oxycontin. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opiate analgesic typically used to treat patients with severe pain. In addtion, for Fentanyl patches comparing to Oxycontin,Fentanyl patches are good for either 48 to 72 hours depending on the individual. For most people it's 72 hours, but a small percentage of the population only gets 48 hours. While OxyContin has an advertised dosage time of 12 hours effective dosage. Now go on refering to more information as following.

Oxycontin vs. Fentanyl patches?

With the patch, fentanyl is released at 100mcg per hour for 72 hours. It’s hard to compare the two drugs because they feel very different. For analgesia its about like 10mg of oxycontin every hour for 3 days. If abused (say taken orally), all 10mg of the patch is released at once and is like doing 1000mg of oxy all at once and very dangerous.

Is it safe to take fentanyl with Oxycontin?

As long as you’re using one as a timed-release drug and the other in short acting form (4-6 hours), it’s okay. It’s using both together in timed-release versions where problems can arise.
